Why it works
Improvisation is the art of creating something out of nothing – instantly. It utilizes different parts of the brain in order to create new ideas and problem solve. Improv enhances the ability to trust one’s self, focus, and think quickly on one’s feet. Most commonly done (performed) with a group or another individual, it requires trust, give and take, listening, building on other’s ideas rather than negating, and realizing the value of being part of a whole to reach a final objective. The principals of improv can literally be applied to any situation creating a positive successful outcome. Oh… and it’s also a fun way to work, rather than a ‘beating your head against the wall’ process of getting there.
