Janelle Ranek
Performer/Writer
Janelle works as a freelance actor, writer, director, and educator. She has co-written and performed numerous critically acclaimed original work including nine one-woman shows with an entourage of over 35 characters. She has appeared at many local theaters. Janelle also works as an artists educator with high-risk youth, educators, and facilitating corporate workshops. Having 20 years experience, she uses theater and improv as the medium to reach any objective. She firmly believes in the success of IOU’s unique creative technique.
Jules Weiland
Writer/Director
Co-founder of IOU Productions, Jules has collaborated as writer and director with Janelle on numerous shows as well as producing tours for IOU in Kansas City, Florida, and Arkansas. Other IOU Productions include fundraising benefits and various workshops for youth, educators, and corporations.
For 18 years Jules worked a union job in KC as a heavy equipment operator, but her love has always been music and performance. For 20 years Jules volunteered with Willow Productions; the oldest all-woman production company in the US.
